Today is a Big Day
Andrew Roth
The Daily News will not be published today because there's a lot happening on Capitol Hill. In the Senate, Tom Coburn is attempting to save $2.6 billion worth of taxpayers' money from being wasted. In the House, the lobbying reform bill is going to be voted on. The Club is scoring a "NO" on it because 527 language is going to be attached to it afterwards. In our view, it's simply unconscionable to vote YES on something that so horribly assaults the First Amendment. So, as a Club supporter, what are you rooting for? YES on the Coburn Amendments, NO on any motion to kill the Coburn Amendments, and NO on lobbying reform. Sound good? If you want to email your senators and congressman, go here.
