NV-02: Sharron Angle Interview

Sharron Angle, the Club PAC-endorsed candidate for Nevada's 2nd district, was briefly interviewed by a local radio station the other day. You can listen to it here (MP3). It's pretty entertaining...she even tells a fun story about one of her contributors who unfortunately lives in Taxachusetts.

This is an important race for fiscal conservatives. Angle is running against two tax-hiking liberal Republicans in the August 15th primary. This is an open seat (Rep. Jim Gibbons, the current occupant, is running for governor). One of Angle's opponents, Dawn Gibbons (Jim's wife), voted for the state's largest tax hike back in 2003. She also voted to give casinos a big taxpayer-funded subsidy to display artwork. Angle's other opponent, Dean Heller, has a laundry list of tax hikes in his background. Higher sales tax, higher property taxes, higher real estate transfer taxes, etc.

To further confirm Angle's fiscally conservative bona fides, you'll be happy to know that the Republican Study Committee's political arm recently endorsed her. The RSC is the most fiscally conservative caucus of Republicans in the U.S. House (The RSC includes fiscal champs like Congressmen Jeff Flake, Mike Pence, and Jeb Hensarling).
