Pork Update - 23 of 435 Blogs Against Pork

Slowly, but surely, we're adding to the list. Here's a summary of a few recent additions:

From Jefferson Mammoth in Virginia:

The Virginia Science Museum was one of the targets of the Flake amendments. It received $250,000. The fact that it is near where I live means nothing to me. The federal government should absolutely not be funding science museums across the country. If Richmond wants a science museum it should be self supporting. If they can't convince people in the area to support them the taxpayers across the country should not foot the bill.

From Freeman Hunt in Arkansas:

Not one Representative from our state managed to vote against pork even once. We might expect such irresponsible behavior from Democrats, but [GOP Congressman John] Boozman? You're supposed to be a Republican. You're supposed to be for fiscal responsibility. You're expected to do better.

From American's North Shore Journal:

The truth is that none of these items belong in a category called Funded by the Federal Government. They should be funded, maybe, by state and local governments, or by private donations. These aren’t national defense, anti-crime or any other topic that my money and your money should be spent on by [Congresswoman] Louise Slaughter and her porker friends.
