60 Hours of 527 Reform Blogging
Barring any major surprises (country is attacked, etc), we're going to blog only about 527 reform until the fateful vote scheduled for Wednesday takes place. We anticipate that will be roughly 60 hours from now.
It's unfortunate that the issue isn't getting more press, but it was encouraging to see the Wall Street Journal weigh in ($) on the debate. And if you missed the Daily News, the Union Leader has also penned an editorial about it. Here's one poignant paragraph:
Republicans were not amused [about being outraised by liberal 527s]. Now they have a plan to silence their critics, and they are doing it in the name of reform. Fidel Castro could learn from such masterful Orwellian doublespeak.
So let's get started. If you are a blogger, let me know if you are writing about this debate. If you have called your congressman or senator, let me know about it. If we let the House GOP succeed at passing this bill, we can only blame ourselves for not making a big enough stink about it. Email me at aroth at clubforgrowth dot org.
