Pork of the Week
From Rep. Jeff Flake's office:
Mesa, Arizona - Arizona Congressman Jeff Flake, who represents the state's Sixth District, today highlighted another pork project contained in the massive omnibus spending bill that Congress recently passed.
This week's egregious earmark: $200,000 for the American Cotton Museum.
"This earmark will allow museum goers to learn how cotton shrinks and deficits grow," said Flake.

Comments
Another terrible eamark? How about the salary Rep. Flake will pull down should he win re-election in 2006...after breaking his pledge to serve only three terms.
Personal pork is little different from its insitutional cousin -- both enrich the few at the expense of the many.
